Wintery Peom

Author's Note: In this piece we were asked to make a wintry word list and put it into a poem. I really like winter because of the pretty words you can use to describe it.

Look out at the snow fall,
The kids having fun throwing snowballs.
Sparkly snow lines the streets,
With snowmen that I would like to meet.

Can’t you smell that fresh winter air?
And see the snowflakes in my hair?
The bitter coldness filling your skin,
Must bring a smile to your chin.

Santa working with all the elves,
Decorations are flowing over the shelves.
Stockings are hung on the chimney with care,
Hoping that Santa would give something rare.

Children sucking on their brand new candy cane,
With parents still trying to keep them maintained.
